Greeters and Ushers

Greeters and ushers help foster a spirit of community by ensuring all visitors and parishioners feel part of St. Peter’s faith community. They also assist people in finding seats in the assembly, collecting the monetary offerings and providing other assistance as necessary.

Alter Servers

Alter servers assist the priest during the Mass and at other liturgical services.

Lectors

Lectors proclaim the Word of God during the Eucharistic Liturgy.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

During the Liturgy of the Word portion of Mass, children ages 4 through 8 are given the opportunity to go with adult and teen leaders to hear the Word of God in an age-appropriate setting. Scripture is read, followed by discussion, recitation of the creed and general intercessions. Adult and teen volunteers are needed to proclaim the Word in a child friendly way. It is held during the 9:30 Masses. Resources and materials are provided.

Extra-ordinary Ministers of Communion

Extra-ordinary Ministers of Communion assist the priest at Mass by distributing Communion.

Minister of Communion to the Sick

These ministers take communion from the liturgy to shut-ins of the parish who are unable to attend weekly Mass. They are a visible link between those who are sick and the rest of the faith community.

Art and Environment

This ministry plans and coordinates decoration of the Church for the various liturgical seasons through the use of color, flowers and other appropriate decorations.

Linen Ministry

Volunteers wash, iron and fold the linens used during the Masses. This is done monthly and volunteers are rotated throughout the year.

Alternate Text

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. Receiving Jesus in Communion is what makes us a Catholic community, and it is the central focus of our parish.
