"Dash for Dan" 5K Event

 “Dash for Dan” is held in memory of Daniel Christophe, Jr., an Itasca youth whose life was cut short by a tragic motorcycle accident on the afternoon of April 17, 2007. Although wearing a helmet and following the rules of the road, while riding his motorcycle, Dan fell victim to a tragic accident with another driver. The impact of the collision caused Dan to suffer injuries too severe to overcome.

At the time of the accident, Dan was an accounting major at Northern Illinois University. He was a graduate of Lake Park High School (class of 2004) and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School (class of 2000).

St. Peter the Apostle is honored to sponsor “Dash for Dan” in memory of this cherished alum. In recognition of the Christophe family’s dedication to Catholic education, proceeds from this event will go to fund a memorial scholarship established in his name.

We hope you will join in supporting this third “Dash for Dan” and help to continue Dan Christophe’s legacy within the community.

Golf Outing

Sponsored by St. Peter’s Knights of Columbus #10884, the annual golf outing is a great day to hit the greens with fellow parishioners. Get some friends together for a foursome, or come out on your own. Various “special” games are held throughout the course, and prizes are awarded.

Taste of St. Peter's

The “Taste of St. Peter’s” is an annual festival of “flavor and fun”. The festival takes place on parish grounds the last weekend of June. Highlights of this two-day fest include entertainment and games for all ages, plus a variety of international cuisines. This is a great opportunity for young and old to enjoy a pleasant summer evening and/or afternoon enjoying great food, music and fun activities.

Ski Trip

Since 2002, Fr Slawek has been organizing a ski trip for the youth and adults of the St. Peter Parish. The trip last anywhere from a couple days to a little over a week, depending on how it is organized each year. Annual trips are planned during Christmas Vacation and spring break. There is a bus organized that takes you from Illinois to Colorado, a hotle for all the participants to stay in, and of course ski tickets for the designated days. There has never been any negative feedback from any of the past trips and everyone has said to have enjoyed themselves very well. Auction

As Fall approaches, the countdown begins for St. Peter the Apostle’s Annual Auction. The auction is the parish’s biggest and most important fundraiser of the year. Each and every dollar that we make will go directly to reducing our debt and set the groundwork for planning for the future of St. Peter the Apostle Parish.
