Bishop Hicks has shared this information (click here) from Cardinal Wilton Gregory that Pope Francis has granted a plenary indulgence for the faithful who devoutly participate in the 2021 Prayer Vigil for Life from the Basilica either virtually or in person, under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion, and offer a prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father).

​

  • The National Prayer Vigil for Life will be broadcast at 7pm CST on Thursday, January 28 via radio, TV (EWTN), and online
    at the Basilica’s website.
     

  • The Mass for Life at the Cathedral of St. Matthew will begin at 9am CST and will likewise be available via livestream.
