And I tell you, you are Peter,
and on this rock I will build my church,
and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven,
and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,
and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

About the Event
All are invited to attend the Mass of Remembrance (The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed) on Tuesday, November 2, at the 6:30 pm Mass. This service is in memory of those buried from St. Peter the Apostle during the past year, and to pray for all deceased family members and friends, as well.
Proceeding Mass, luminaria will be lit for all requests made to remember individuals on this All Souls Day. Each luminaria will have the individual’s name on it and will be placed in formation outside. You need not be present to participate. If you cannot attend the Mass, you may wish to come to the church later and enjoy this beautiful candlelight memorial.
If you would like to participate, please complete the Luminaria Form and submit with payment — $2.00 per each luminaria requested. You may return the form and payment to the Sunday collection basket (please use a separate envelope marked “Luminaria”) OR you may bring the form and payment to the Parish Center. Make checks payable to St. Peter the Apostle and return by Sunday, October 24.
Bags will be made available in advance for anyone who would like to decorate and add names on their respective luminaria. OR, alternatively, Religious Ed students will be decorating bags as well. Please indicate on the form below if you would like to be contacted to pick up your bag(s) for decorating.
