And I tell you, you are Peter,
and on this rock I will build my church,
and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven,
and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,
and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

About the Event
On Saturday, August 20, Bishop Ronald Hicks will ordain men of the Diocese of Joliet to the Order of Deacon at the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet. Among these men will be Anthony George from St. Peter the Apostle Parish. As many of you know, Mr. George has completed the four-year education and spiritual formation program. Anthony’s dedication and commitment to serve the Church, especially at Saint Peter’s has grown markedly throughout the past four years of his diaconate formation.
Thank you to all who have supported him during his years of his discernment and formation. Please continue to pray for Anthony in the days before his ordination, so that the Holy Spirit may come upon him in great ways to bring the Gospel and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church to those he is called to serve, teach, and love in Christ Jesus the Lord.
